Bethesda North Hospital –  a Level III Trauma Center –  is located south in Montgomery, with well-used emergency room facilities. Mercy Health  The Jewish Hospital  is within a t10-minute drive and is located on Kenwood Road in Sycamore Township. This hospital features a state-of-the-art patient tower as well as a 24-hour emergency department. It also offers the region’s only adult Blood & Marrow Transplant Center. 

Other Cincinnati area hospitals, such as The Christ Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, University Hospital and the Children’s Hospital Medical Center are located within a 20-minute drive.

Loveland Urgent Care is located on Loveland-Madeira Road. The Children’s Outpatient facility is within 10 minutes in Mason. Bethesda North TriHealth Hospital and Mercy Health Jewish Hospital are both 15 minutes from Loveland. Other Cincinnati hospitals located with 30-35 minutes include Christ , University, Good Samaritan and Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Loveland is located in the northeast corridor of greater Cincinnati, providing an attractive setting unique from other sprawling suburbs. Its 13,000 residents enjoy living in an area called the “Sweetheart of Ohio.” The Little Miami River Chamber of Commerce sponsors a Valentine mailing program throughout the year. Stamped letters sent to the chamber office are specially marked with the current design with the inscription reading, “There is nothing in the world so sweet as love.” Loveland has been ranked as a Top 5 Places to Live by Ohio Magazine and number 6 on the list of Top Small Cities to Live and Work by USA.com.

The Little Miami Bike Trail is very popular and follows along the scenic Little Miami River. There are several baseball fields, basketball courts and tennis courts, along with the various school facilities that afford play areas for children. The Loveland Youth organization is very active and offers a wide range of sport activities including baseball, softball, soccer, basketball and football for children starting as early as five years old. 

Nearby golf courses include the private O’Bannon Creek and Oasis Country Club, public Hickory Woods, Eagles Nest and Fair Acres courses. The Normandy Swim Club has a limited membership and there is year-round roller skating available in facilities located in Loveland. 

The iconic Loveland Castle & Museum Chateau Laroche welcomes more than 25,000 visitors each year. Downtown Loveland transforms into a Victorian village during the holiday season. In addition to this annual event, residents of Loveland also enjoy a yearly art show, Memorial Day Parade, Firecracker Festival, and Valentine Breakfast. 

Loveland has several parks: C. Roger Nisbet is located near the Miami Scenic Trail and is in the historic part of town and features an amphitheater. Phillips Park, East Loveland Nature Preserve and Veterans’ Memorial Park are three other parks to enjoy. 

For those who are into the arts, in addition to the many art studios located in Loveland, residents also attend live performances at the Loveland Stage Company. From dance classes to musical performances, there is something for all ages.

Over 100 retail businesses in Loveland serve all immediate needs for food, clothing and furniture. The only city in Ohio situated in three counties, Warren, Hamilton and Clermont, Loveland is located on the scenic Little Miami River, 16 miles north of Cincinnati. Loveland residents and businesses enjoy a quiet country setting, while still having easy access to Cincinnati’s wide range of resources. First settled in 1796, the Loveland area contained prosperous family farms until the arrival of the railroads in the 1840s which caused a village to grow up along the tracks. I-275 is approximately one mile from Loveland creating quick access to all parts of Cincinnati. I-71 is three miles from Loveland and connects to northeast and Downtown Cincinnati.

Other major Cincinnati hospitals are within a 25-minute drive south to the Clifton area: The Christ Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, Children’s Hospital Medical Center and University Hospital.

Over 10,500 residents reside in Montgomery and in the heart of this historic town is a cluster of shops and business dwellings that retain much of the country charm of bygone days.  There are 32 recognized historic sites in Montgomery – including five that are part of the National Register of Historic Places. 

The area was founded in 1795 when people from the Village of Montgomery in New York settled there after making their way up the Little Miami Rover and Sycamore Creek. As the area grew it served as a stopping point along the “3-C” highway between Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland. By 1950 there were 500 residents. It became a city in 1971 with 5,000 citizens.

Residents enjoy many parks in Montomery, including: Dulles Park, Johnson Nature Preserve, Montgomery Park, Pfeiffer Park, Pioneer Park, Swaim Park, Triangle Point Plaza and Weller Park. The community’s park system has over 96 acres of protected green space and they are all connected by over 10 miles of bike paths and sidewalks. 

There are many youth recreational programs to enjoy in Montgomery. It has a community pool to cool off in during warmer months. The Recreation Annex Building has fitness equipment and classes for all ages. The Club at Harper’s Point is one of the finest tennis facilities in the country with 12 outdoor courts and 10 indoor courts. Five Seasons also offers outdoor and indoor tennis courts as  well as an outdoor pool and various group health classes. 

The area is surrounded by daily fee and private golf courses within 10 minutes driving time, including Kenwood Country Club, private with 36 holes, and Sharon Woods and Blue Ash Golf Course, both public, with 18 holes. 

There is a nationally recognized Women’s Club, art shows and garden clubs in Montgomery. The community hosts several annual events: Independence Day Parade and Festival, Bastille Day Summer Street Festival, Montgomery Car Show, Harvest Moon and Holiday in the Village. The city also enjoys concerts from the Blue Ash Montgomery Symphony Orchestra throughout the year.

Shops along Montgomery Road in Old Montgomery and the Montgomery Square Center conveniently serve the city. Tree-lined and brick-paved sidewalks (with potted flowers during warmer months) add to the charm of  “downtown” Montgomery, making a coffee run, shopping or running a quick errand an enjoyable thing to do. Many fine restaurants are located in the city including the iconic Montgomery Inn and Jeff Ruby’s Carlo and Johnny. 

Just 10 minutes away from Montgomery is one of the area’s largest shopping centers, Kenwood Towne Centre, with three department stores (Nordstrom Macy’s and Dilliards), 100 shops, and many restaurants to serve all tastes.Sycamore Plaza (aka Kenwood Square) and The Kenwood Collection are also nearby with even more stores and restaurants.

The spirit of Montgomery is anything but old-fashioned. Montgomery has enjoyed being consistently rated as one of the top communities for the Cincinnati area. 

Single-family homes, townhouses, condos and apartments of almost every design are found there. Many homes in the neighborhood are new, having replaced older residences. Because strict zoning requirements have maintained a spacious wooded environment, the area has a lovely suburban atmosphere. And since new homes, for the most part, have followed the pattern of Montgomery’s heritage, a traditional flavor is predominant throughout. As a wonderful place in which to reside, this neighborly community is second to none.

Four expressway interchanges within easy access are I-71, I-75, I-275 and the Ronald Reagan Highway. Driving time to Downtown Cincinnati is approximately 20 minutes. US22/Ohio3 bisects Montgomery and is the main street through the city. Cincinnati Metro bus transportation serves the city with convenient time schedules.

Miami Township Fire provides EMS services to the township. Bethesda North Hospital, a short 10-minute drive from the township, is now the fourth largest hospital in Cincinnati and only one of two adult trauma centers in the region. Mercy Hospital Anderson is 25 minutes to the east; Children’s Hospital Medical Center and other core Cincinnati hospitals are a 30-minute drive.

Many residents take some short of extracurricular learning opportunities at nearby Live Oaks Career School. Residents can enjoy the outdoors through the tennis courts, volleyball courts or horseshoe pits at the Community Park where the natural amphitheater hosts theatre and musical performances during the summer months. Because of its location on the scenic east fork of the Little Miami River, residents frequent the scenic bike/hike trail that intersects here at Riverview Park. Residents also enjoy Miami Meadows Park,  trails and canoe access at the Kelly Nature Preserve. The Long Branch Farm, a division of the Cincinnati Nature Center,  welcomes thousands of visitors each year to learn about livestock, sustainable farming, and see rare Ordovician fossils.

There are plenty of neighborhood shops in the many villages in Miami Township, with a plethora of eating and retail locations located along St. Rt. 28. A 15-minute drive will take homeowners to nearby Eastgate Mall or Kenwood Towne Center shopping malls.

Like many other townships surrounding the I-275 outer beltway surrounding Cincinnati, Clermont County’s Miami Township began changing from rural countryside as late as 1960, to today’s township exploding with growth. The growth is carefully planned and the area continues to be in high demand for homebuyers. The township’s easy access to Cincinnati’s amenities continues to draw homeowners of all incomes. Located in the northwestern corner of the county, Miami Township includes Day Heights, Mount Repose, Mulberry, Miamiville and parts of the cities of Loveland, and Milford. New housing developments seemingly spring up overnight in the township’s 33 square miles.  More than 36,000 residents call the land situated between the banks of the Little Miami and East Fork Rivers home.

'Symmes Township Park' has 3 picnic shelters, playgrounds, basketball and volleyball courts, walking trails, a bark park and bird sanctuary. The 'Camp Dennison Nature Trail' has a half-mile hiking trail that is quite scenic. Beautiful 'Seven Gables Park' covers over 8 acres at the intersection of Seven Gables and Montgomery Road and has a picnic are, playground and walking trail. 'Home of the Brave Park' has 54 acres with soccer, and softball fields, a Veteran's memorial area as well as wet and dry playground areas.  'Stonebridge Park' features a ball field and playground. 'Blong Memorial Park' is a small park that memorializes those citizens killed by the April 1999 tornado. 'Meade Park' is located on Lebanon Road and is highlighted by the 1900s Greek-Revival House that is used by the Cincinnati Horticultural Society. You will also find a reconstructed log house in this park along with walking trails. 'The Little Miami Bike Trail' runs through the township and offers a great place to ride, run or walk. 'Kings Island Amusement Park' is nearby, as are golf courses, swimming clubs and much more. 

The Symmes Regional Branch Library is the largest branch in the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library System.

The largest retail shopping centers are Harper's Point and Governor's Plaza II. Harper's Station and the Fields Ertel corridor offer many exciting retail choices. Specialty shops, boutiques and large supermarkets also serve the area. The Kenwood Towne Centre is located within a 10-minute drive and features 180 specialty stores as well as Nordstrom, Macy's and Dilliard's department stores. Also nearby is The Kenwood Collection and Sycamore Plaza which feature national brand retail stores.

It's quite a change since the first pioneers came to this area in the 1790s, but a link remains between the first settlers and today's suburban dweller – an appreciation for open spaces, privacy and a less hectic life. Symmes Township bears the name of John Cleves Symmes whose purchase of the lands between the two Miami rivers (the Miami Purchase) in 1788 led to the founding of Cincinnati. The township itself was founded in 1824. Early residents were German and Scotch-Irish. 

Interstates I-71 and I-275 have opened up Symmes to increasing development. Homes are beautiful examples of today's architectural brilliance, gathered together in warm, friendly communities. And while industry and commercialism have ensured Symmes Township's growing prosperity and contemporary services, a sense of history still lives in some older buildings, villages and even in life-long residents.
