Beckett Ridge is suburbia at its finest. A perfect place for golf enthusiasts at the Beckett Ridge Golf Club, Beckett Ridge also has its own maze of walking/running trails. A great place to “get away from it all”, Beckett Ridge is just 30 minutes from Downtown Cincinnati.
Beckett Ridge was created as a planned unit development (PUD) in 1976 with the former farmlands of the Beckett family. It is comprised of 21 neighborhoods and 300 acres of open common space. Located in West Chester Township, there are 9,100 residents who currently reside in the area.
Beckett Ridge is just 30 minutes from Downtown Cincinnati, traveling on I-75. It is also just 40 minutes from Dayton, Ohio if you travel north on I-75. Queen City Metro, Cincinnati’s public bus system, does not go this far north, however, many workers park their cars at designated lots then ride the remainder of the way downtown on the Metro. There is also a car pool system in Greater Cincinnati that is used by many commuters.
Nearby is the West Chester Hospital and the Cincinnati Children’s Liberty Campus. TriHealth Bethesda Butler Hospital is located near Route 4 off of 129. Mercy Health - Fairfield Hospital (the only hospital in Butler County to offer open heart surgery) is located on Mack Road in Fairfield.
There are numerous small strip malls around Beckett Ridge. Nearby are numerous restaurants and shopping at the Streets of West Chester and Union Center. Also nearby is the lifestyle shopping center, Bridgewater Falls, located on Princeton Rd. It is a quick 10-minute drive to the Tri-County Mall and the surrounding shopping district for large department stores and unique specialty stores and fine restaurants. A farmer’s market is available on Saturdays at the Union Center Square.
A private swim and tennis club is located at Beckett Ridge. The award-winning Barracuda Swim Team is based there. The four Village Centers in Beckett Ridge offer lots of outdoor activities including playgrounds, picnic areas, basketball courts, and baseball fields. Keener Park is just 4 miles from Beckett Ridge and has baseball fields, soccer fields, a playground for smaller children, walking trails, picnic shelters, an outdoor amphitheater and a historic log cabin. Sharon Woods Park is approximately 15 minutes from Beckett Ridge and has a fishing pond with row boats, paddle boats, walking/running trail, an 18-hole golf course, a fantastic playground, hands-on learning stations for children that tell about how the immediate area was formed by retreating glaciers, a snack bar and more.
