Batavia

Greater Cincinnati Area

Originally founded as a gold-mining town, Batavia preserves a great deal of charm and history. Batavia today has a population of 1,900 residents. It is a center for legal and business activities, and functions as the County Seat for Clermont County. This stable and desirable community is supported by the Cincinnati Milacron plant as well as nearby Huhtamaki, Purina and Clermont Steel Fabricators in addition to growing county government activities. Here, newcomers have the best of both worlds, historic village homes or newer homes with acreage. Many former city dwellers and suburbanites have found Batavia to be the perfect answer to spacious living in beautiful, natural settings. A major highway provides easy access to shopping, cinemas and East Fork State Park. Batavia has become a thriving center for businesses, recreation and a place to call home.
