Dayton, OH

Good Samaritan Hospital is within ten miles of Brookville.

History buffs will enjoy the historic downtown areas including the community museum located in the Victorian Samuel Spitler House. It's an active community with the Community Theatre, Brookville branch library and outdoor activities at the four area parks. Sycamore State Park borders the city offering access to over 2500 acres of hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and relaxation. The Wolf Creek Bike Trail passes through town, offering a 13-mile scenic ride through the rolling countryside.

More than 6000 people call the roughly three square miles of Brookville home. At one time, Brookville was primarily a farming community, and still retains much pride in its homegrown roots, but easier transportation has opened its doors to diversity, and growth is now evident.

Brookville is about 20 minutes northwest of downtown Dayton, and 10 minutes from the Dayton International Airport, on state route 56 just south of I-70.

Hospitals within a 10-mile radius include Children's Medical Center, Miami Valley Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital.

Community life is active in this small village with special events like Stagecoach Days in June, and Christmas in the Village in December. Many residents drive to Trotwood, where residents find a wide variety of leisure facilities and opportunities to encourage heath and fitness, cultural enrichment and learning.

Shoppers take advantage of the nearness of The Salem Mall of Dayton located less than a ten-minute drive away in Trotwood. In addition to department stores, retailers provide numerous specialty shops and restaurants. Local New Lebanon merchants provide general merchandise and services conveniently located for residents.

New Lebanon is a small town 15 minutes due west of Dayton in Montgomery County, offering village residents a chance to move at a slower pace. Like other areas nearby, residential growth is continuing to meet the demands with new housing developments being planned. You can still find a charming house full of the character of days gone by, but it's more common to find modest single-family homes or new construction.

Rt. 35 is the main artery through town. I-70 and I-75 are minutes away.

If you can't find something to keep you busy in Trotwood, you aren't trying hard enough! The city offers a wide variety of leisure facilities and opportunities to encourage heath and fitness, cultural enrichment and learning. The city offers nine park and recreation areas for those who enjoy vigorous activities, there are ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, soccer fields, picnic areas, playgrounds, swimming pools, fishing lakes and an in-line skating court. And for those who desire quieter activities, Trotwood has miles of biking/ waking trails and acres of green space that meander throughout the city. Within Trotwood lies Sycamore State Park, located in both Trotwood and Ferry Townships, offers 2,300 acres of hiking trails, picnic areas, horse trails, fishing lakes, camping grounds and more. The park is a winter haven for sledders, skaters, snowmobilers, and cross-country skiers. For golf enthusiasts, Larch Tree offers an 18-hole golf course.

Located approximately six miles northwest of Dayton in Montgomery County, Trotwood is a community of 31,000 that can be described in three words -Town and Country. Trotwood has many beautiful neighborhoods with active neighborhood associations. In addition, housing options include an array of affordable single family and duplex models, most of which were built in the late 1970's and early 1980's. For those dreaming of building a new home, Trotwood offers a variety of residential tracts ready for development. The town's historic core known as 'Olde Town' is a quaint neighborhood located in the center of town. Olde Town offers a variety of specialty shops, potential land for commercial redevelopment and a heterogeneous residential base.

Trotwood

The community is strategically located less than two miles from I-70, less than 5 miles from I-75 and less than 15 minutes from Dayton International Airport. St. Rt. 35's Northwest Connector, and the Turner Road Extension provide easy access to this part of west central Ohio. RTA provides bus transportation connecting Trotwood with the downtown Dayton area.

Preble County has access to 21 area major hospitals and healthcare providers within a 20-minute drive. The Preble County Health Center (part of the Kettering Health Network) is located in Eaton. Dayton Children’s Hospital is located to the south.

The village of Lewisburg is located in Preble County and was founded in 1818 and named after Lewisburg, Virginia.  This village includes two prior villages – the original Lewisburg and Ephemia – which merged in 1916. The popular is 1,800 residents.

The community offers many yearly events including Christmas Lights in the Park, Movies at the Park, chili cook offs, Lewis burg Garden Walk, Steak and Pork Chop Fry and Auction as well as an October Festival and Christmas Tour of Homes.

There are quite a few shops and restaurants in town and many more choices with 6-14 miles. Trotwood Main Shopping Center is 13 miles away.

From old to new homes, there are many styles and prices of homes available in Lewisburg, including many with acreage.

Lewisburg

Lewisburg Township is located near route 503 and 40.  The closest interstates are I-70 and I-75. The closest state routes are 127 and 35.

The Indian Creek Wildlife Area in Fayetteville is a nature preserve for fishing, hunting and hiking. Stonelick State Park in Goshen offers hiking and biking trails as well as water sports and fishing.

Fayetteville offers a few local stores for everyday needs. A drive to Batavia or Eastgate offers more shopping opportunities.

A rural area, you will find modest priced homes along with moderately priced residences. Many homes are located on acreage.

Perry Township

State routes 50 and 68 bisect Perry Township. The closest highway is Interstate 275.
