Introduction

Like many of Ohio's small towns, the coming of the railroad shaped the Trotwood community. The historic Trotwood Depot has been renovated and stands as a reminder of the town's past.

Located approximately six miles northwest of Dayton in Montgomery County, Trotwood is a community of 31,000 that can be described in three words -Town and Country. Trotwood has many beautiful neighborhoods with active neighborhood associations. In addition, housing options include an array of affordable single family and duplex models, most of which were built in the late 1970's and early 1980's. For those dreaming of building a new home, Trotwood offers a variety of residential tracts ready for development. The town's historic core known as "Olde Town" is a quaint neighborhood located in the center of town. The community is strategically located less than two miles from I-70, less than 5 miles from I-75 and less than 15 minutes from Dayton International Airport. St. Rt. 35's Northwest Connector, and the Turner Road Extension provide easy access to this part of west central Ohio. RTA provides bus transportation connecting Trotwood with the downtown Dayton area.
