September Home Sales Report (2024)

Here are the latest statistics for residential real estate in Cincinnati, Southeastern Indiana, Northern Kentucky, Dayton and Springfield.

With increases across the board, market data from around the region demonstrate continued confidence in the market. Most notably, increases in inventory as well as increases in home prices help balance the market to create opportunities for both buyers and sellers. Here is a report by region of home sales throughout September 2024:

Cincinnati/Southeast Indiana

September 2024 vs September 2023

  • 14.4% Increase in homes sold (1,492 homes)

  • 8.2% Increase in median sale price ($302,000)

  • 73.2% Increase in sales volume ($748,465,850)

  • 33.6% Increase in active homes for sale (2,353 units)

  • 48.6% Increase in new listings (2,356 units)

  • 20% Increase median days on market (8 days)

January–September 2024 vs January–September 2023

  • 3.1% Increase in homes sold (13,464 vd 13,059)

  • 6.6% Increase in median sale price ($298,450 vs $280,000)

  • 14.4% Increase in sales volume ($5,037,641,698 vs $4,402,129,278)

Dayton and Springfield, Ohio

  • -12.57% Decrease in homes sold (1,175 vs 1344 homes)

  • 2.2% Increase in median sale price ($232,000 vs $227,000)

  • 8.53% Increase in sales volume ($377,825,438 vs 348,123,057)

  • -13.49% Decrease in new listings (1462 vs 1690)

  • 7.7% Increase in new listings (13451 vs 12489)

  • 7.37% Increase in homes sold (10969 vs 10216)
