The Miami Indians used to inhabit what is now the village of Phillipsburg. The historic Indian Trail, which General Wayne and his army used to march northward, is now St. Rt. 49, the town's main artery.
At one square mile wide with 700 residents, the Village of Phillipsburg is packed full of friendly residents who embrace their small town living. They claim it's the best of both worlds - small town life with nearby city advantages.
Phillipsburg is minutes from I-70 and within a ten-minute drive of I-75. St. Rt. 49 bisects the village.
Miami Valley Hospital North in nearby Englewood provides accessible health care services. The Northmont Medical Center is available 7 days a week, no appointment necessary.
Local merchants provide general merchandise and services conveniently located for residents.
The community is very close knit because of its small population who take an interest in their village, and all its activities. Each year the village sponsors an Easter Egg Hunt, Village wide garage sale days, community Halloween party and Christmas tree lighting. Fun abounds in the Northmont area parks, each maintained by the city or village nearby.
