Ohio Township has 5,100 residents with approximately half of them residing in unincorporated areas. New Richmond is located within the township along the Ohio River. The village of New Richmond was settled in the late 1700s and became a village in 1828. It later became a hub for steamboat building.

New Richmond has several local shops and restaurants for every day needs. A drive to the Eastgate and Anderson areas in Cincinnati offers more shopping opportunities with national brand stores and restaurants.
New Richmond has five parks: Susanna Park, Hausserman Park, Rose Vesper Park, Union Square Park and Plum Street Park as we as the August Street Boat Launch and a the Village Bandstand. The yearly River Arts Festival is held in New Richmond. In August, River Days is celebrated in New Richmond and in December there is an annual River Village Christmas weekend event.
