A community of fine homes, many with above average size lots, the area still retains much of its original rural charm, with all the urban advantages for convenient living.


Homes of every design and concept are constantly being added to the original neighborhoods. Yet, despite the refinements and sophisticated services offered, the Western Hills area remains free from large industrial infiltration. Since there are no definite boundary lines here, many residents consider sections of Bridgetown, Covedale and Delhi Hills to be part of this unique area. Home seekers will find attractive, well-built homes in a variety of price ranges, and an atmosphere that is friendly and gracious.


Queen City Metro Bus service provides excellent bus service to downtown Cincinnati. A number of routes make driving time to the downtown area approximately 20 minutes.


Mercy Franciscan Hospital - Western Hills is located within 10 minutes of the area. A complex of hospitals surrounding the University Hospital is approximately 25 minutes away. There are more than ample medical, dental and other professional services available in the immediate area, many located in the new Western Hills Medical Center.


The Western Hills-Western Woods and Glenway Crossing shopping complex include branches of three major department stores, several large grocery supermarkets, branches of several major banks and a variety of approximately 70 smaller shops offering almost any type of service and merchandise. Western Village, across Glenway Avenue from the above complex offers warehouse type hardware stores, as well as many other varied shops.


Oskamp Playfield and Kuliga Park provide facilities for baseball, soccer, football, swimming and playground facilities for the very active Knothole and CYO sports leagues, with participation for both boys and girls. There are three public golf courses and two private golf clubs in the area, plus private swim clubs and skating rinks. The Gamble-Nippert YMCA in nearby Westwood offers swimming, tennis and other sports and programs on a membership basis. There are two facilities which offer indoor racquetball, health and exercise rooms and indoor swimming.
