More than 2500 bicyclists visit the New Vienna Elementary School each June as part of the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure as one of the stops on the tour through Southwestern Ohio. Local organizations and businesses provide food, entertainment, and a resting stop for the travelers.
The rural village of nearly 1300 residents was founded in 1853. There’s contrast in the village with tree-lined streets showcasing turn of the century homes counterpoint with the prime farmland that makes this area one of Clinton County’s busiest agricultural communities.
Ohio 28 and 73 intersect in New Vienna situated about 20 miles from Interstate 71. New Vienna is roughly an hour from Columbus and Dayton; a trip to Cincinnati takes about 65-70 minutes. . Nearby commuter airports are Red Stewart Airfield in Waynesville 25 miles away, Clinton Field in Wilmington 20 miles away, and Cincinnati Lunken Airport. Greater Cincinnati International Airport is about 85 minutes away.

Seven Caves near Bainbridge offers a chance to look for stalactites.This Ohio Natural Landmark features trails, water falls, rapids and amazing geological formations. Hunters can be found at CherryBend Pheasant Farm; it's ideal pheasant hunting at this 368-acre flatland grain farm. For faster sports, the New Vienna Motorsports Park includes five trails with ten acres of track. There’s plenty to do!
