Christiansburg is located in Champaign County and has 500 residents. Joshua Howell established the village in 1808, naming it after Christiansburg, Virginia.
The town was established on a former sugar camp. It grew with stores and businesses. In 1842 the village changed its name to Addison and in 1915 changed its name back. Homes in this rural community range from older farm houses to brick ranch and two-story homes on acreage.
The village is located along State Route 55. The closest interstate is I-75.
Troy and Piqua are the closest towns. Upper Valley Medical Center, Stouder Memorial Hospital and Piqua Memorial Medical Center service the area.
Residents can shop in nearby Troy and Piqua. The village has a few local stores and shops as well.
The county of Champaign has miles of bike trails, hiking trails and woods for outdoor enthusiasts. The village has a recreation center that includes a gym.
