Ross Urgent Care (affiliated with McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital – TriHealth) is located on Ross-Millville Road. The Ross Fire Department provides fire and EMS services to the area. Mercy Health - Fairfield Hospital is located just east of Morgan Township in Fairfield, and The Fort Hamilton Hospital is located to the northeast. McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital - TriHealth is located in Oxford. Cincinnati Children’s Fairfield is located on Mack Road.

Ross Township was named the ‘new frontier’ of Butler County by the Journal News, citing the spurt of residential growth in the once rural area. Ross was first called “Venice” when the area was for platted by Dr. Benjamin Franklin Clark in 1817.

Mercy Health Fairfield Hospital and UC Health are within 15 minutes of any part of Colerain Township. Other major hospitals such as Good Samaritan Hospital, Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Christ Hospital and University Hospital can be reached within 20 to 30 minutes. The township offers EMS services.

Colerain Township was settled in 1790 by John Dunlap of Coleraine, Ireland. The great forests and farmlands that once dominated this area have given way to shaded streets and large traditional homes on spacious grounds. Today Colerain Township is the second largest township in Ohio with 42.9 square miles and over 58,000 residents.

Fifteen minutes away from Colerain Township are beautiful Winton Woods and Miami Whitewater Park, well-maintained county parks offering golfing, boating, riding stables, hiking trails and vast picnic grounds. Colerain Township features 10 parks with over 250 acres of park land, 10 shelter houses, 12 ball fields and 8 soccer fields. Residents enjoy an amphitheater, spray ground, skate park, disc golf course, two boat ramps to the Great Miami River, community gardens as well as seven playgrounds. Clippard Park and Colerain Park  offer tennis courts and a baseball diamond. 

The private Orchard Hills Swim Club is located off Cheviot Road. Pebble Creek Country Club and Clovernook Country Club have 18-hole golf courses in the area. There are four well-stocked fishing lakes in the area. The Groesbeck Park on Galbraith Road has baseball diamonds and 2 football fields. There is active interest in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Explorers. Also available is knothole baseball for boys and softball for girls. Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve is located at the corner of Colerain Avenue & Poole Road and the Clippard YMCA is located on Cheviot Road. 

The Senior & Community Center is a popular place to enjoy taking an exercise class. Residents are treated to an annual 4th of July event with music and fireworks. During warmer months, there are many events in the parks including outdoor movies and concerts. 

Vinoklet Winery on Colerain Avenue features a restaurant and sponsor fun public events for the community to enjoy.

The Northgate Mall represents is located right in the heart of Colerain Township with several brand-name stores. Colerain Towne Center and Western Hills Plaza are also convenient to Colerain Township. More stores are located in Fairfield Township at Bridgewater Falls or throughout West Chester. For avid bargain shoppers, it is a 20-minute drive from I-275 to I-75 north to the Cincinnati Premium Outlet mall in Monroe.

Since development began, this beautiful rural-like section has had such tremendous appeal and growth that Colerain Township today actually includes four important communities: Groesbeck, Monfort Heights, White Oak and portions of Mt. Airy. Each of these communities offers a variety of spacious ranches and multi-level designs, traditional and contemporary homes. Colerain Township

The Colerain Interchange to expressway I-75 is about 15 minutes away. Driving time to downtown Cincinnati is 25 minutes. Ronald Reagan Highway and I-275 pass through the northern section of the township making easy access to I-74, I-75 and I-71.

Mercy Health - Fairfield Hospital is located on Mack Road and has been ranked as a national top 10 community hospital as well as among the Top 100 of overall hospitals. Mercy Health also services the community with The Heart Institute and Orthopedics, Sports Rehabilitation & Physical Therapy. McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital (TriHealth) is located in nearby Oxford. Cincinnati Children’s Fairfield is located on Mack Road and provides pediatric care. Bethesda Butler Hospital is located in nearby Hamilton.

Settlers came to the Fairfield area in 1794 following the Symmes (or Miami) Purchase. US Route 127 and SR 4 began as bridle paths. With the construction of the Miami and Erie Canal along and the railroad, the community grew. The Fairfield area had pockets known as Symmes Corner, Jones Station, Furmandale and Fairplay. Just 18 miles north of Cincinnati, Fairfield became a successful blend of industrial and residential development. The city of Fairfield was incorporated in 1955 and has now boasts almost 42,000 residents and more than 1,200 businesses.

The city has over 20 community parks to enjoy with athletic fields, hiking and biking trails, picnic areas, tennis and volley ball courts, and fitness areas. Fairfield Community Recreation Center, owned by the city of Fairfield, offers golf, a swimming pool, tennis and a private banquet room available for rental. The  City of Fairfield Aquatic Center has an eight-lane lap pool as well as many water play areas. A variety of sports groups are available for both youths and adults. The city operates two golf courses at Fairfield Greens South Trace and Fairfield Greens North Trace. The local YMCA provides swimming, baseball and other activities. Hueston Woods State Park is about a 35-minute drive and offers a lake and miles of trails along with boating and fishing opportunities. The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields is a multi-field complex for tournament play for the disabled. 

The Fairfield Community Arts Center is located in the heart of the city and hosts many cultural and arts events. Residents enjoy concerts, plays and other performances throughout the year. 

The city has a weekly Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays during warmer months at the Village Green. 

Fairfield hosts many annual events: Light Up Fairfield (December), Fine Art Fair (June), Groovin’ on the Green (May - August), Red White Kaboom (July), Blues and BBQ, to name a few. 

The proximity to Cincinnati allows the Fairfield residents to enjoy the many cultural and sporting events available there.

A variety of small shops are available as well as the major grocery chain stores for your shopping pleasure. Bridgewater Falls, a lifestyle shopping center, offers many specialty shops and restaurants. Northgate Mall is a short drive away. Several smaller centers - Hick’s Manor, Fair Plaza, Village Green, and Symmes Center are also available for shopping convenience. Kenwood Towne Centre located in Sycamore Township, is a 15-minute drive and features 100s of brand-name stores as well as Nordstrom, Macy's and Dilliard's. 

Jungle Jim’s International Market is a food lover’s paradise with numerous departments featuring food and beverages from all over the world. For those who enjoy fresh produce, the Village Green Farmers Market is open April through October at the Village Green Park. 

For those who love to shop for antiques, the Ohio Valley Antique Mall is located off State Route 4 and has over 85,000 square feet of space. Over 500 vendors will tempt you with their collectibles and vintage pieces.

Large one and two-story homes are plentiful and multiple-dwelling units offer condominium living in a park-like setting. There are also a number of custom designs on lovely landscaped grounds that feature incredible extras. With such a selection of beautiful homes, where plenty of shopping centers, banks, businesses and services are nearby, it’s no wonder Fairfield is called the “city of opportunity.”

Fairfield

Fairfield is ideally situated for highway transportation with two major highways (State Route 4 and Bypass 4) and I-275 just south of the city limits giving access to major cities north and south on I-71 and I-75. The Butler County Regional Airport is located in nearby Hamilton.

Mercy Health Fairfield is the area's closest hospital, within a five minute drive. Cincinnati Children's Fairfield is also a short drive away. TriHealth Bethesda Butler Hospital is about a 15-minute drive. University, Good Samaritan, Christ Hospital, Children's Hospital Medical Center and other area hospitals are 25-30 minutes away. An excellent life squad and ambulance services are readily available.

The community was originally called the "Farms"  and was the site of the fifth Cincinnati Homearama in the mid 1960s.

The Pleasant Run Farm area has a very active Civic Association that offers supervised sports programs, dances, golf, bowling leagues and a private swim club. 'Pleasant Run Recreational Center' borders Pleasant Run Farms on the north, offering an 18-hole golf course, tennis and swimming. 'Clifford George Park' on Mill Road features two baseball fields, a batting cage and two soccer fields. 'Germania Park' is located on the south and is a great place to enjoy events like the annual Oktoberfest. 'Winton Woods', a 2000-acre park, is nearby and available for horseback riding, golf, boating, fishing, hiking, picnicking and camping. Nearby are tennis, racquetball clubs, 2 YMCA's, movies and restaurants.

The Promenade Shopping Center has a variety of stores to take care of everyday needs. There are three major shopping areas: Tri-County which is 5 miles east and Northgate which is 5 miles west and Kenwood Towne Centre within a 15 minute drive. These shopping centers are enclosed malls and have a large variety of designer shops, movies and restaurants. There are also a number of small unique shopping areas nearby.

Since that time, nearly 1,200 attractive, well-designed homes have been added and many border on private, "greenbelt" property. The open space of over 60 acres of "greenbelt" land lends a special quality of life to its residents. Many of the dedicated homeowners belong to the popular Civic Association which maintains the swim club and is responsible for both sporting and recreational activities. Country-like qualities, public-spirited citizens, and easy access to all parts of the Cincinnati area make this unique community a prime attraction.

Pleasant Run

Queen City Metro offers services from Greenhills and Tri-County. There is also the business Sun Run from Promenade Shopping Center. Within 5 minutes is I-275 with connections to l-75, I-71 and I-74. Downtown Cincinnati is about a 30-minute drive.

Forest Run Wildlife Preserve has 82 acres and offers picnic facilities, a playground and nature trails. Tanglewood Lake offers fishermen a chance to get out that rod and do a little angling. Gardening is a popular pastime with a farmers market just about anywhere you go on township roads. Bicycling enthusiasts often challenge themselves on the rolling hills of the township, so drivers beware! Stricker’s Grove located just outside Ross is a private amusement park only open to the public four days a year, but you should try to go at least once to see this historical gem. It has 16 midway rides, a games arcade, picnic areas and Butler County’s only wooden roller coasters are just a few features of this park. The Morgan Ross Athletic Association offers youth sports programs. For those interested in radio-controlled flying,  the Ross Area Flyers club has a field on SR126 (Cincinnati Brookville Road.)

Both Ross and Millville meet the daily needs of nearby residents with groceries and gas, but most residents head to Harrison or Fairfield for more expansive shopping. Northgate Mall is about a 10-minute drive. Fairfield offers Bridgewater Falls on Princeton Road with 30 retail stores and restaurants.

Founded in 1803, Ross Township sits in south central Butler County and includes the villages of Ross and Millville. 6,400 residents are spread throughout the area with more arriving each year. Rural farms are disappearing and are being developed as city residents flee to a more relaxed country lifestyle. The area is rich in Native American archeological settings with several mound sites located on private property. Homes range from old-style residences to newly built homes on acreage or in subdivisions. Homes are available in all price ranges.

Ross Township

U.S. Rt. 27 is the primary access route through the township that leads to either south to Cincinnati or north to Oxford. State Routes 126 and 748 bisect the area. Butler County has three regional airports, including Butler County Regional in Hamilton, Hook Field in Middletown, and Miami University Field in Oxford. Cincinnati West Airport is less than 10 minutes away in Harrison; it’s a short 19-minute drive to the Greater Cincinnati  Northern Kentucky International Airport.
