Lewis Township is located in the southeastern corner of Brown County along the Ohio River. The township was organized in 1807. Its name is probably after a pioneer settler. The area has 2,400 residents most of whom live in unincorporated areas of the township.
The township offers homes in all sizes, styles and price ranges. Many homes come with acreage.
The township is close to Highways 52 and 68. Interstate 275 is the nearest major highway.
All seven of Cincinnati’s finest hospitals are within a short drive via the interstate, including Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Christ Hospital and University Hospital.
Georgetown has many local stores and shops for daily needs. A drive into Cincinnati and one finds numerous national brand stores, malls and restaurants.
Shawnee National State Forest is located in the Appalachian foothils near the banks of the Ohio River. The beautiful forest and park has boating, marina access to the Ohio River, fishing lakes, an 18-hole golf course as well as many miles of hiking trails. East Fork State Park offers boating, fishing, hiking and many other outdoor activities. Boating on on the Ohio River is also an enjoyable recreation activity.
