Introduction
Edgewood, one of Northern Kentucky’s largest suburbs, has an appealing All-American quality with its 9,400 residents. Edgewood was incorporated in 1948. In 1968, it merged with Summit Hills Heights and Pius Heights.

Summit Hills Country Club, Brookwood Swim Club and Five Seasons Sports Club are within the area. Kenton County Golf Course, a public facility, is nearby. This city’s motto is: “Where every day is a walk in the park” and Edgewood boasts two large parks: Presidents Park and Freedom Park. Presidents Park has 20 sprawling acres and provides a variety of youth activities and organized sports as well as tennis, volleyball and picnicking facilities. You can also enjoy the presidential walkway at this park. Freedom Park features volleyball and basketball courts, a playground, baseball and soccer fields, a picnic shelter as well as two memorials: one for 9/11 and a veteran’s memorial. Just outside of city limits is the Doe Run Lake Park and Kenton County Public Park. Edgewood hosts several community events throughout the year include a Fourth of July parade and concerts, many outdoor park concerts, Shakespeare in the park, a Halloween event and a Luminary Night in December.
