Highland Heights

The District of Highlands was incorporated in 1867 and Highland Heights was founded in 1927. Lying just south of Fort Thomas along U.S. 27, it was predominantly a quiet, residential town until the early 1970s. St. Elizabeth East in nearby Fort Thomas is available. Doctors offices are located in the city. Emergency Medical Service (EMS) is available.

There are many local stores and restaurants in Highland Heights. Crestview Towne Center is a short drive. Florence Mall with over 100 stores is about 15-minutes away.

The Highland Heights Nature Trail offers four miles of trails. The city provides two parks with limited facilities. There are several annual events sponsored by the city: Easter egg hunt, Memorial and Veteran’s Day events, to name a few. The BB&T Arena at Northern Kentucky University hosts many events – from comedians, to sports to concerts and more. Students also enjoy the NKU rec center.
