Kings Mills was established in 1884 as a company town for the King Powder Company and the Peters Cartridge Company.

Kings Mills is an unincorporated area in the northeastern corner of Deerfield Township, Warren County, on the western shore of the Little Miami River. It’s a scenic area located about three miles north of Mason. The area is one of the fastest growing residential sites in the area, yet retains its small-town feel. With the ability to access interstates within minutes, the Kings Mills area is poised for development and growth.
The village is easily accessible off I-71 just north of I-275 surrounding Cincinnati’s northern suburbs. St. Rt. 150 (Grandin Road) runs through the unincorporated area.
A few minutes south on I-71 is Bethesda North TriHealth Hospital, one of the area’s busiest hospitals. The recently opened TriHealth Bethesda Medical Center at Arrow Springs to the north of Kings Mills offers the region state-of-the-art outpatient medical care, including 24-hour emergency services and comprehensive diagnostic testing. Across the county is Atrium Medical Center. Children’s Hospital Medical Center offers a regional campus just a short drive in nearby Mason.
Several shopping districts that easily fulfill all homeowner’s needs are found in nearby Mason or Deerfield Township. If you prefer a mall atmosphere, head south on I-71 to Kenwood Towne Centre and its 100+ national brand stores as well as Nordstrom, Macy’s and Dilliard’s.
Kings Mills is best known for its recreation options. World-famous Kings Island Amusement Park is located here and hosts one of the world’s best-known roller coasters. The Beach Water Park and Great Wolf Lodge Indoor Water Park offer the thrill of splash parks. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the historic Ft. Ancient, Caesars Creek State Park, both the Little Miami and Lebanon Trails. Those following pro sports can choose to watch professional tennis and volleyball tournaments nearby, or catch a horse race at Miami Valley Gaming.
