Lifestyle in Maineville, OH

Settlers from the state of Maine founded the village of Maineville in 1815. Its original name was Yankeetown. Around 1821, the name Maineville began to be used by the local Baptist Church members to identify the growing village and to pay tribute to the original settlers’ home. There are currently 1,000 residents.

Transportation
St. Rt. 48 is the main access road not only for the village but for surrounding areas of the township as well. Foster-Maineville Road crosses through the village connecting to other parts of the township. I-71 is the closest major highway.

Fire Protection is provided by the Hamilton Township Fire Rescue Department. The closest hospital is a few minutes south on I-71 – Bethesda North TriHealth Hospital, one of the area’s busiest hospitals. TriHealth Bethesda Medical Center at Arrow Springs to the north of Maineville offers the region additional state-of-the-art outpatient medical care, including 24-hour emergency services and comprehensive diagnostic testing. Children’s Hospital Liberty Campus is a short drive in nearby Liberty Township. University of Cincinnati West Chester Hospital is located near I-75 in West Chester.

Rivers Crossing Retail Park in nearby South Lebanon offers convenient shopping to village residents. Just to the south in Loveland are many retail options for Maineville residents. Fifteen minutes to the south via I-71 is the very popular Kenwood Towne Centre with over 100 national brand stores and department stores including Nordstrom, Macy’s and Dilliard’s. Nearby Deerfield Township has the Deerfield Towne Centre, a 420,000-square-foot lifestyle center for your shopping pleasure with anchors stores including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Whole Foods, Bed Bath & Beyond, BuyBuy Baby and Ashley Furniture as well as more than 60 specialty stores and restaurants. Arbor Square has a 70,000 square foot Kroger store along with several retail stores. Liberty Center in nearby Liberty Township features many stores and restaurants and is only 15-minutes away. Cincinnati Premium Outlets in Monroe, Ohio, is a short 15-minute drive with hundreds of stores to browse and shop.

Rural pursuits like outdoor sports, horseback riding and enjoying nature are the main activities of residents. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the historic Ft. Ancient, and Caesars Creek State Park. Ralph J. Stolle Countryside YMCA nearby is a popular destination with its indoor water park and running track. Ideally situated in one of the region’s most active areas, Maineville residents don’t have to go far to have fun. Kings Island, The Beach Waterpark, Great Wolf Lodge Water Park offer the thrill of roller coasters and splash parks.
