Peace. Privacy. Nature. And so close to civilization! Yellow Springs has many one-of-a-kind properties, but this 11.97 acre mini farm may be the most unique. Formerly known as the Swetland Farm, this property has been under its current stewardship for the past 33 years, and what fine stewards these owners have been. Late 1800s main farmhouse & 1950s north addition have been extensively remodeled and renovated. In 2004, the guest house was added to the south end of the home, & is accessible from the main house through the laundry room. In 2008, the main house heating system was changed to Geothermal, with original radiators vacated but still available for use. In 2018, the ensuite owner's bath was expanded & renovated, with a jetted whirlpool soaking tub, rainfall shower, & even a drop-down ironing board. Agent can provide many more details. 2 Barns and a 70’ x 140’ clear span indoor riding arena add to this being a real must-see!

Lifestyle in Yellow Springs, OH
Yellow Springs

Discovered around 1800, Yellow Springs became a major Midwestern attraction for those seeking its 'curative' waters. For over 100 years the town was a popular health resort serving travelers on the stagecoach road nearby.

Summary
While the spring which gives the town its name still exists, this small Greene County city approximately 40 miles east of downtown Dayton is known today for its recreational attractions, wonderful shops and restaurants, and culturally diverse Antioch College where a wide range of political and social views are well represented. 4,000 residents live in charming turn of the century homes, converted farmhouses, and modest bungalows. For an escape from hectic urban life, look to Yellow Springs for a change in lifestyle.
Transportation

Recreation
Recreational facilities are an integral part of Yellow Springs. The 72-mile Little Miami Scenic Trail Bike Path starts just north of Yellow Springs. The Glen Helen Nature Preserve offers 1000 acres of waterfalls, limestone cliffs, woods and the famous Yellow Spring. The John Bryant State Park is located minutes outside the city, along the Little Miami River. Its more than 700 acres are used by residents for camping, picnics and hiking. Close-by is Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve where hikers climb through ancient rock formations. Craft fairs, street festivals and other community events abound in Yellow Springs. The town has a seasonal community swimming pool, a chamber music series, several art galleries and an art-film theatre. A working dairy farm and frequent tourist destination, Young's Dairy Farm not only has milk straight from the cow, but a petting zoo, miniature golf and full deli and ice cream shop.
