Like many of Ohio's small towns, the coming of the railroad shaped the Trotwood community. The historic Trotwood Depot has been renovated and stands as a reminder of the town's past.


Located approximately six miles northwest of Dayton in Montgomery County, Trotwood is a community of 31,000 that can be described in three words -Town and Country. Trotwood has many beautiful neighborhoods with active neighborhood associations.
