Introduction

Beavercreek is the largest city in Greene County. At 27 square miles with a population of nearly 40,000, it is one of Dayton's fastest growing suburbs.

Summary

Beavercreek is a spacious, rolling, wooded environment 10 minutes east of Dayton, with housing ranging from exclusive, custom-built homes to charming older neighborhoods. Beavercreek is home to numerous research and manufacturing firms engaged in defense technologies, aerospace, automotive components, electronics and other specialized advanced technologies. Many residents are current or former Air Force and civilian employees of nearby Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and its defense industry contractors.

Transportation

US 35 provides direct access to downtown Dayton. I-675 skirts the north and west edge of town.

Hospitals

Hospitals within a 10-mile radius include Children's Medical Center, Miami Valley Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. Greene Memorial Hospital in nearby Xenia is the county hospital.

Shopping

The Mall at Fairfield Commons contains five department stores and 130 franchise clothing, shoe and specialty stores. Local merchants provide general merchandise and services conveniently located for residents. The Greene, an upscale outdoor mall, is opening in June, 2006.

Outdoor enthusiasts in Beavercreek use the Creekside Trail for biking, jogging, and in-line skating. For golf enthusiasts, both the Country Club of the North and the Beavercreek Golf Club offer an 18-hole public course, one of golf star Fuzzy Zoeller's signature courses. 22 parks and recreational areas provide many activities.
