Harrison is located 25 minutes west of downtown Cincinnati, bordering Indiana to the west. Established in the 1800s by war veterans, the area became incorporated into a village in 1850 and a city in 1981. The area has been called “Harrison” since 1814 as a nod to local resident General William Henry Harrison, the ninth U.S. president.
