Hospitals
Cincinnati's Good Samaritan Hospital and Bethesda North are about 20 minutes' drive and six other major hospitals are only five minutes beyond that. A medical center is located on Chester Road.
Shopping
Except for a large discount store, there is limited local shopping in Woodlawn. Within 15 minutes is the Kenwood Towne Centre with over 100 stores and three department stores: Nordstrom, Macy's and Dillard's.
Recreation

There is a municipal swimming pool as well as summer recreational program of knothole baseball, basketball, etc. Woodlawn has a recreational community center that features a large auditorium, fitness room and two gyms. There are local garden and social clubs.

Glenwood Gardens features 335 acres of trails, formal gardens and prairies to explore along a one-mile paved trail and a 1.6 miles nature trail. Trillium Trails Park is run by the Hamilton County Park District. Highfield Discovery Garden has 12 acres of amazing gardens from frogs and toads, to a trolley garden to a butterfly garden! Adjoining Winton Woods has a public golf course, lake, stables, picnic areas and nature trails.
