Lifestyle in Covedale, OH

Covedale was established in the 1920s on the border of Delhi and Green Townships as development of Cincinnati expanded westward.
Summary
8 miles west of downtown Cincinnati, the neighborhood of Covedale is one of the many loosely defined western Hamilton County areas. A large portion of Covedale was annexed by the city in 1930. Why the community has the name remains a mystery to area historians. It’s a quiet suburban community with older Tudor and traditional brick homes.
Transportation
Glenway Avenue and Cleves Warsaw are the primary access routes through Covedale, with I-74 and I275 interstates minutes away. Downtown Cincinnati is a short 7-minute drive; about 25 minutes gets you to the Greater Cincinnati International Airport.
Hospitals
The city of Cincinnati provides fire and EMS services to the area. Mercy Franciscan Hospital in Western Hills is the closest full service facility; many other hospitals are a few minutes drive away.
Shopping
Residents can head to downtown Cincinnati, or to nearby Green Township for shopping destinations to meet every need from big-box stores, mom-and-pop groceries, to specialty stores. Northgate Mall is a mere 15 minutes drive.
Recreation
As one of Cincinnati’s western neighborhoods, Covedale offers all the amenities available in Cincinnati with easy access to movie theatres, area parks and downtown activities. One of the area’s busiest sites is the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts. The Covedale has been converted from a 1947 movie house to a live theatre venue with productions all-year long.
