North Bend might be a tiny village in the extreme southwestern corner of Hamilton County with a total population of 600, but it’s a village large with history. The American Discovery Trail "Southern Route" passes through North Bend and Harrison's Tomb. Covering 6800 miles through 15 states, the trail is the only coast-to-coast non-motorized recreational trail popular with cross-country hikers. There are more than 6,500 acres of parks within 20 miles of North Bend that offer fishing, horseback riding, hiking, golfing, and other seasonal outdoor activities. Boating and fishing are active pursuits because of the three nearby rivers. Motor sports fans head to nearby Cleves for yearlong activities.
