Adams County is rich in natural areas; Manchester`s Ohio River location lends itself to recreational boating and fishing. Numerous lakes, state forests, parks and preserves are just waiting for the outdoor lover to come explore. The Edge of Appalachia Preserve covers 12,000 acres of woodlands and is drawing national attention for its scenic beauty.

The Olde Wayside Inn which was built in 1804 is one of the oldest buildings in Adams County and is the oldest standing inn in Ohio that is still in use.
