Liberty Township is one of 25 Liberty Townships in Ohio. It was named for Liberty, Pennsylvania by John Morrow, an area resident.
Take the Union Centre exit off of I-75 in nearby West Chester Township and you will find many places to shop. Springdale’s Tri-County Mall contains over 100 specialty shops and eateries. Kenwood Towne Centre is a 15-minutes drive and offers Nordstrom, Macy’s and Dillard’s along with over 100 nationally known shops. Liberty Township has a YMCA and a youth sports league. The community sponsors four events each year: an Easter egg hunt, Fourth of July parade, Fall Festival and a Breakfast with Santa.
Liberty Township is home to 11 parks with 273 acres: Allen Park, Cherokee Park, Dudley Park, Dudley Memorial Woods, Liberty Park, the Reserves of Liberty, Fort Liberty Playland, Maud Hughes Incline, Mill Creek Preserve, Wilhelmina and the Wetlands Park. They offer hiking and biking trails, fishing, playgrounds and picnic shelters. Voice of America Park in nearby West Chester has six miles of walking trails and a dog park.
Paramount’s Kings Island is a 10-minute drive and features amusement park fun.
