Introduction

Those who love the great outdoors will appreciate this planned community, highlighted by a mile-long, 80-acre sailing lake. The rolling woodlands dotted with meadows and the creeks and ponds are all a refreshing alternative to urban living. Its location is conveniently set near shopping and expressway, making Landen very attractive.

Summary

This year-round resort town of many subdivisions was created years ago. It was carefully planned to include a network of hiker/biker trails that connect the recreational center of each village to the entire community. The homes offer a variety of architectural styles and amenities. Most of the contemporary homes in this lake community are custom designed, each having its own unique characteristics. What’s more, the expansive greenbelt lends a special quality of life to its residents and protects the natural beauty of the land. Transportation

Landen’s location between US 22 & 3 and Columbia Road provides easy access to I-71. Although there is no public transportation available there is ride sharing in the area.

Hospitals

Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery is a 10-minute drive. UC Health West Chester Hospital is within a 15-minute drive. Children’s Hospital Outpatient Facility is within five minutes. The Warren County Care Center with 24-hour emergency service is located on Route 48 in Lebanon, 15 minutes north of Landen. Cincinnati features many fine, nationally recognized hospitals which are located within a 30-minute drive south.

Shopping

Kings Auto Mall, Landen Square and The Shops at Harper’s Point serve all convenience needs. Deerfield Towne Center and the Shoppes of Deerfield are a short drive offering many national retail stores. For a larger selection of all commodities, Kenwood Towne Centre is within a short drive, featuring major department stores and a variety of services including Nordstrom, Macy’s and Dilliard’s. For those who enjoy outlet shopping, the Cincinnati Premium Outlet is located to the northeast off I-75 in nearby Monroe with many national-brand stores including Saks Off Fifth.

Recreation

Landen has Homeowners’ Recreation Association in all areas of Landen, including Landen Lake for fishing, canoeing and non-powered boating. A 2.5 mile long paved pathway circles this lake and is used by walkers and bikers. There are additional hiking and biking trails throughout the community.

Landen has 17 swimming pools, 16 tennis courts, six basketball courts and several play areas. The community has 180 acres of green space with fields and forests.

The beautiful Little Miami National Scenic River is adjacent to the area. Several private and public golf courses are nearby. Also within a short distance from Landen are Paramount’s Kings Island Amusement Park and The Golf and Tennis Center of Kings Island with the Seniors Golf Tournament and the ATP Master’s Series Tennis Tournament occurring annually. The Beach Waterpark is conveniently located within minutes of Landen. A professional golfers’ association T.P.C. course is located just minutes north of Landen an holds a yearly Seniors Tour Event.

Landen Deerfield Park is located in nearby Maineville and features play fields for team sports, trails, a playground, basketball and tennis courts, a fishing lake and amphitheater. There are many other local Warren County parks to enjoy.
