Hospitals

"Bethesda North Hospital" – a Level III Trauma Center – is a 15-minute drive away, with well-used emergency room facilities. "Jewish Hospital Kenwood" is located on Kenwood Road in Sycamore Township and features a state-of-the-art patient tower as well as a 24-hour emergency department. It also offers the region’s only adult Blood & Marrow Transplant Center.

Other Cincinnati area hospitals, such as The Christ Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, University Hospital and the Children’s Hospital Medical Center are located within a 25-minute drive.

Shopping

There are three small shopping areas within two miles of the residential section. Nearby, to the west, is the large Tri-County Shopping Center and Cincinnati Mills. Fifteen minutes to the east is the Kenwood Towne Centre. The Northgate Mall is approximately 25 minutes away.

Recreation

Evendale has a community center with a full-time recreational director. There is a year-round arts and crafts program for adults. Winter time activities for youths include baton twirling, trampoline and a basketball league with teams beginning with third and fourth grade boys. Summer concerts are staged at the Founders Pavilion in the village. Evendale has a swimming pool with low-cost memberships. In addition, there is a sauna and exercise room. There are two tennis courts. Knothole baseball and soccer are available to children of all ages. General Electric cooperates fully with the village programs and extends to it the use of the GE Employees Park with its 9-hole golf course, which is used by the Evendale golf leagues. Two public golf courses are a short drive and nearby Sharon Woods affords many varied activities. Villagers enjoy all nature has to offer at The Griffin Family Nature Preserve and Gorman Heritage Farm.
