About Terrace Park


One of Cincinnati's oldest communities was built on a terrace overlooking the Little Miami River.


Through the years it has retained an air of history with ancient trees that line its streets and neighborhoods that resemble an old-fashioned New England village. Terrace Park has a delightfully different kind of suburban life. Although the colonial style homes are relatively new, they have charm and character. Streets are interestingly named for famous colleges. Plus, many of the residents have been deeply rooted in the community through second and third generations. The feeling of quality and culture that abounds everywhere is one of the reasons there is a deep sense of village pride in Terrace Park. For old world charm with New England flavor, this is an unusually satisfying place to live.


Cincinnati buses furnish regular service between Terrace Park and downtown Cincinnati. Highway U.S. 50 (Columbia Parkway) is the main auto route south to downtown Cincinnati with good roads leading west to Cincinnati's outlying suburbs. Driving time to downtown is approximately 20 minutes. I-275 is approximately 10 minutes away giving easy access to I-71, I-75 and Ronald Reagan Highway.


Interstate I-275 provides 10-12 minutes driving time to Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery and to Clermont Mercy Hospital located in Batavia. All other Cincinnati hospitals are about 30 minutes away.


Milford Shopping Center is only 5 minutes away, 10 more minutes to Eastgate Mall via I-275 where there are many specialty shops and restaurants, a large Sears and Penney department stores and a Holiday Inn. Mariemont's retail stores and shops are only about five minutes from the village offering small specialty shops and a variety of restaurants. Kenwood Towne Centre on Montgomery Road is also about 15 minutes from Terrace Park offering more variety for shopping.


Terrace Park has easy access to the Little Miami River for fishing and boating. The Terrace Park Swim and Tennis Club has a limited membership for its olympic-sized pool (2 wading pools) and 6 tennis courts. Drackett field has 3 soccer fields and 3 baseball fields. The Terrace Park Country Club (private) has an 18-hole golf course. Public 18-hole courses within 15 minutes driving time are found at Lunken Municipal Golf Course adjacent to Lunken Airport, Indian Valley on Newtown Road off Wooster Pike, and 9 holes at the Little Miami Golf Course (Hamilton County Park) also on Newtown Road. Terrace Park Players is a non-profit organization--an active group with plenty of room for new talent both on stage and behind the scenes. They also sponsor a community orchestra/band. There is also a nature preserve at the south end of the village.
