The country-like atmosphere of Amberley Village, named for a village in England, has been carefully preserved through the years. It has 3,600 residents and is a Tree City USA per the National Arbor Day Foundation.
Amberley Village is located in the center of Cincinnati and is known for its winding streets, towering trees and elegant homes. This is a lovely residential area with many beautiful homes located on one or more acres of land creating a park-like atmosphere. Because many of the homes were custom built, Amberley Village provides a range of housing prices and designs with lots that ramble luxuriously over wide, velvety lawns. Some even have picturesque white fences to outline their spacious grounds, for an added concept of rural living. This quiet, congenial community is the result of careful planning by both its citizens and government.
There is no public transportation in Amberley Village except school bus service. Ronald Reagan Highway is located on the edge of the village, provides quick and easy access to 1-75 and 1-71 and 1-275. Downtown Cincinnati is 20 minutes away.
"Bethesda North Hospital" – a Level One Trauma Center – is a 10-minute drive away, with well-used emergency room facilities. "Jewish Hospital Kenwood" is also located within ten minutes drive time and is located on Kenwood Road in Sycamore Township. This hospital features a state-of-the-art patient tower as well as a 24-hour emergency department. It also offers the region’s only adult Blood & Marrow Transplant Center.
Other Cincinnati area hospitals, such as The Christ Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, University Hospital and the Children’s Hospital Medical Center are located within a 25-minute drive.
Amberley Village has a choice of three large shopping areas: Kenwood Towne Centre and Sycamore Plaza are about 10 minutes away and Tri-County Mall is only a 15-minute drive. For everyday needs, nearby Pleasant Ridge has several local shops and restaurants. Nearby Dillonvale Shopping Center is a short drive and has a grocery store, hardware store, drug store as well as other shops and a cafe.
Baseball fields, tennis courts, a walking track and a children’s play area are available by the municipal building for use by Amberley Village residents. French Park has picnic areas and hiking paths as well a lovely picnic areas. The Mayerson Jewish Community Center is located in the village and is a gathering place for area residents. The facility has indoor and outdoor pools, state-of-the-art fitness center as well as many fitness classes. The J also hosts many arts and cultural events and welcomes all regardless of race, religion or ability. The village hosts an annual ice cream social.
