Lifestyle in Fairfield, OH
Fairfield

Settlers came to the Fairfield area in 1794 following the Symmes (or Miami) Purchase. US Route 127 and SR 4 began as bridle paths. With the construction of the Miami and Erie Canal along and the railroad, the community grew. The Fairfield area had pockets known as Symmes Corner, Jones Station, Furmandale and Fairplay. Just 18 miles north of Cincinnati, Fairfield became a successful blend of industrial and residential development. The city of Fairfield was incorporated in 1955 and has now boasts almost 42,000 residents and more than 1,200 businesses.

Hueston Woods State Park is about a 35-minute drive and offers a lake and miles of trails along with boating and fishing opportunities. The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields is a multi-field complex for tournament play for the disabled.
