Sayler Park calls itself “Cincinnati’s western gateway.”

Summary

The most western community in the city of Cincinnati, the neighborhood of Sayler Park is tucked along the banks of the Ohio River. Separated from the rest of Cincinnati by some miles, Sayler Park seems to be a neighborhood off by itself. 3500 residents live in the 1.5 miles of this quiet, scenic riverfront neighborhood in historic turn-of-the-century homes or single-family homes many with abundant green space. New construction is being added as one of Hamilton County’s last underdeveloped sites.

Transportation

20 minutes from downtown Cincinnati, U.S. Rt. 50, known locally as River Road, is the primary access to Sayler Park. A small spur takes you into town. Anderson Ferry provides car ferry access across the Ohio River; I-74 and I-275 are nearby.

Hospitals

The City of Cincinnati provides fire and EMS services to Sayler Park residents. Mercy Franciscan Hospital in Western Hills or Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg serves the area’s medical needs. Mercy Franciscan Health Center with flight access to downtown Cincinnati trauma centers is in nearby West Harrison, Ohio.

Shopping

Sayler Park has a small business district along Gracely Avenue with more extensive shopping offered just minutes away in nearby Harrison or Lawrenceburg. Northgate Mall is about a 20- minute drive.

Recreation

Nestled along the Ohio River shoreline, Sayler Park offers easy access to boating adventures. The scenic Fernbank Park, Hillside Park and Short Woods offer outdoor recreation outlets. The Sayler Park Community Center houses gyms and a fitness center, outdoor pool, playground and tennis courts. The Fernbank Golf and Tennis Club is just a few minutes drive.
