Queen City Metro Bus service serves the Norwood area. Ideally set between I-71 and I-75, the city's own Norwood Lateral connects the super highways. Norwood is ten minutes from Downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

Hospitals

The Bethesda Family Clinic is located in Norwood. Citizens benefit from living close to many area hospitals. "Rookwood Medical Center" is located along I-71 and is a state-of-the-art facility with an emergency department as well as primary care offices.

"Jewish Hospital Kenwood" is located in Sycamore Township and is only a 10-minute drive. This hospital features a state-of-the-art patient tower as well as a 24-hour emergency department. It is the region’s only adult Blood & Marrow Transplant Center. "Bethesda North Hospital", a Level One Trauma Center, is located in Montgomery and is a 10-minute drive away.

Other Cincinnati area hospitals, such as The Christ Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital and the Children’s Hospital Medical Center are located within a 15-minute drive. Many uptown groups of doctor’s offices are also within easy access. One of the most advanced medical facilities in the country for research is located within the (Cincinnati) University Hospital complex, located in nearby Avondale.

Shopping

An area of approximately 2.5 square miles, Norwood is host to three large shopping centers and only minutes from others. Surrey Square Mall and Central Park Mall are located in the heart of downtown Norwood. Rookwood Pavilion and Rookwood Commons are located on the outskirts of Norwood. Shopping includes supermarkets, clothing, discount, hardware, car dealerships, books, furniture and more.

The city's parks system maintains nine neighborhood parks featuring ball fields, swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball courts and picnic areas.
