Greenhills began as a carefully planned "greenbelt" community based on the garden cities of England.


Despite growth over the years, most of the virgin forest and rolling meadows still remain. Yet, this well-planned model city still projects a great deal of its original charm.The warm, congenial atmosphere of Greenhills radiates from the center of this community, where schools, churches, shopping, a library and recreational facilities are conveniently located within walking distance of each home. The community is directly adjacent to Winton Woods Park which features horseback riding, boating, fishing, golf, camping, nature and fitness trails, plus much more.Well-kept neighborhoods offer everything from attractive single-family homes to pleasant multi-family dwellings. All are on beautiful tree-lined streets designed to offer safety for children. Many of the two-family houses are semi-detached, and the easy friendliness of neighbors makes them ideal starter homes.


Queen City Metro Bus service offers regular service mornings and evenings to downtown Cincinnati with infrequent service during the day. There is bus service to Tri-County Shopping Center. Within five minutes are highways I-75 and I-275, with connections to I-71, I-74 and Ronald Reagan Highway. It is about a 30-minute drive to downtown Cincinnati.


Mercy South Hospital is a five minute drive. Bethesda North and Mercy Franciscan Hospital - Mt. Airy are about a 15 minute drive. Good Samaritan, Christ, Children's and others are 25-30 minutes. An excellent life squad and ambulance service are readily available. Several doctors are available in the shopping center.


The Greenhills Shopping Center in the heart of the village has a variety of stores to take care of everyday needs. Northgate Mall, Tri-County Mall and Forest Fair Mall are all located within a 10 minute drive. There are branches of large downtown Cincinnati stores, national grocery chains, discount houses and a variety of shops, services, movies and restaurants. There are also a number of smaller unique shopping areas within minutes of Greenhills.


Greenhills Recreation Center is a semi-private club with a 9-hole course, a swimming pool, tennis court and a lovely clubhouse. Its membership fees are modest. Winton Woods, a 2000-acre park completely surrounding Greenhills, is readily available for horseback riding, golfing, boating, fishing, hiking, camping and picnicking. There are several restaurants in the village plus a public library, bowling lanes, public tennis courts and a well-planned athletic program for the children during the entire year.
