The only remaining link to the early history of this lovely little village is the railroad station which is the focal point of many activities.

Madeira has many spirited citizens who work diligently to preserve good schools and neighborhoods for their children. A superb educational system is one of the prime attractions to the area. of ranch styles, cape cods, colonials and contemporary houses. Madeira is the perfect choice for those interested in good schools and the convenience of a suburban community that is located just twelve miles from Fountain Square.

Madeira is within minutes of the expressways and is also serviced by a city bus to the shopping centers and downtown Cincinnati. This area is readily accessible to I-71 and I-275 and the Ronald Reagan Highway. It is also within 15 minutes of the Millcreek Valley industries and I-75. Driving time to downtown Cincinnati is 15 minutes.

Jewish Hospital Kenwood is 5 minutes away on Kenwood Road. Bethesda North Hospital is 10 minutes away in nearby Montgomery.

There are excellent shopping facilities in Madeira and one need not leave the village for ordinary needs. There are branches of several major banks and many fine restaurants in Madeira. Also, five minutes away is Kenwood Towne Centre. Besides branches of Cincinnati's three largest department stores, there are 100 smaller shops and restaurants in the mall.

Madeira has an attractive membership swim club. The 36-hole, private Kenwood Country Club is a short drive away. The several school playgrounds accommodate an abundant outdoor sports program in season. There are two existing community parks with one more under construction. Tennis may be enjoyed at many outdoor courts as well as the air-conditioned private Camargo Racquet Club and the Camargo Club on Shawnee Run Road. Next door to this is a handball and paddleball court. There is a branch of the Hamilton County Public Library in Madeira.
