Cincinnati's Good Samaritan Hospital is about 15 minutes away, with several others five minutes further. Mercy Fransiscan-Mt. Airy is less than a mile from the center of North College Hill.
There are many retail outlets along Galbraith Road and Hamilton Avenue. A convenience center is at the intersection of these streets. The large Tri-County Mall with three department stores is about 15 minutes away. The Northgate Mall, at Springdale and Colerain, is only 10 minutes from North College Hill.
Nearby Clovernook Country Club is a private 18-hole course. There is also a public 18-hole course 12 minutes away in Winton Woods. A community swimming pool and playground is at the disposal of North College Hill residents and guests. There are many baseball diamonds available and a four-week basketball clinic is held for boys prior to the season. Within a mile or two are boating and fishing lakes. There is a dancing class for children from age 5 and a program in ballroom dancing for boys and girls of junior high age. A tennis club with indoor courts, lockers and gym is also available.
